I’m not sure there’s much reasoned debate on most football forums and I include this one in that. Yet I bet if you surveyed the fans of every league club and asked them if the’d be happy for teams with nothing to play for to play their youth team in fixtures with promotion/relegation implications then universally the’d be against it.

Especially those that have travelled 200 miles from skunthorpe to bristol

I don't think wallowing in self-pity does anything, other than making Northampton look like a bunch of sore losers. Let's gone on with winning the game fairly, hoping Appere and Eppiah show Mansfield what they were missing when we last visited.

Having a Berocca first so my p1ss turns fluorescent orange to mostly amuse me.
I hope everyone has a great day if you’re going and if you’re not and shouting at the tv instead.

Unless we take a freak battering I reckon the return leg will sell out, although they’ve got more to sell.

I’ve got the strangest feeling as should be super excited as opposed to absolutely dreading it. Football is supposed to be enjoyable! If you asked me now I’d take a single goal loss. I think a draw or single goal win will be immaterial come Wednesday, although any positive score line is clearly preferable. 0 v 2 and it might open them up, although you can imagine how we’d set up. 0 v 5 and I’ll relax a bit, so pull your fingers out boys.

Bollocks, 3 - 0 so it's job done. 0 - 0 at Sixfields.

Yes, but surely we couldn't throw away a three goal lead.  Shocked

I’m less tense about this one than Saturday - no logic as from a bookies perspective last week was far more nailed on but I guess we all regard the playoffs as a lottery - also short of a 4 goal margin nothing will be decided today so expecting Wednesday to be much tenser……..

I have booked a parking space in a church car park close to the ground, think we might pop in to say a prayer before heading to the match.
