for anyone that want's to see Brady score some crackers while going through his alice band phase with blonde highlights, or maybe even his bleached buzz cut look?

Jon enjoyed a free-kick over the wall didn't he?

Also, surprisingly good at heading for his size.

I have spent hours cleansing my mind of any association he ever had with Max's folly.

Now it’s all pouring back..   😱😱😱

Surprised at the hair styles and over exuberant goal celebrations. Interesting, so well done 606'.

It would be nice if that tw****h song " Jon Brady Jon Brady, he's taking us to Boro, to Boro..." wasn't sung - till at least May when we are third!
Embarrassing in the extreme, not least that it was incessantly sung last season...and we know how that ended up!

He played for Rushden & Diamonds when they were a league club. He not only "pottered" about in non-league  Wink

Au contraire, I have strong memories of singing to them "Non-league,  you'll always be non-league". Surely we weren't mistaken.

Taking a chap from managing the club under 18s straight to the first team is a clear indication that you dont need a "name" manager to get you success. There must be plenty of other coaches working away at other clubs that are perfectly capable of doing the job if only they go the chance and it's time to get rid of this manager myth.

Success?

Do you regard Brady's time as manager to be a success?

Success surely would be getting promoted not relegated. However, Brady made his own promise. 'Bums off seats' or some such nonsense. I have yet to see that.

Agreed. Success in the end is getting promotion, so he's come very close, but not quite got over the line. However, despite not yet being successful, I think we have a very good manager and management team and haven't felt as confident as I do now in any other manager since Wilder. Curle was successful, but I prefer Brady.

Brady's currently achieved 1.42pts per game in charge. Curle finished with 1.38. So, Brady is in front on that one.
However, goals scored (bums on seats?) is the other way round. Brady's team scores 1.22 per game with Curle 1.38 (again).

Who's the better? Well in my opinion they are both much of a muchness. I prefer neither one to the other.

Surprised by that a little although we all know that goals was a huge issue for us last year. Will be interesting to look back at the end of the season and compare this season to the Curle promotion year. Based on only a few games I would watch this years team over last years or anything under Curle (minus the second play off semi and the final)

Why minus the playoffs? They are an integral part of our history? I would rather watch JB’s side play over anything from Curle. The stats from Marvo on goals scored puts a dampener or even a query on above preference😳

I meant that the second playoff semi and the final were good games and I would watch them over and over, but the rest of Curle's tenure wont be remembered in the same way (although I am sure there are examples of good performances)

Some of the mind numbing performances of Curles last few home games did for him!

That's an interesting stat and not one I would have expected to be honest.  I guess Curle got sacked early enough into his league one experience to not be completely damaging to his stats.  Of course Brady is still in post so his could improve or obviously worsen depending on how things pan out.

For me there are things that stats don't show regarding Curle such as the physical narrowing of the pitch and purposeful damage done to it by training on it.  A style of football that was effective but horrible to watch in the main.  No seeming plan for the future.

It would be interesting to see how our more succesfull/exciting managers measure up to those stats for instance Wilder and Carr and how their own stats got impacted by the less succesfull periods when they were in charge.
