We’re playing Stockport County tomorrow. KO 2 pm in case you hadn’t noticed the earlier kick off. Come along, bring a friend. No idea who the ref is.

Unfortunately I would be amazed if either Magloire or McWilliams are involved tomorrow. I wonder if the lesser spotted Hylton will make an appearance.

Looking forward to this one. When you look at the upcoming fixtures we are about to find out where we really are as a side as some tough games coming up.
I know County haven't started as well as they would have maybe expected but I think they will move up the table as the season goes on.
Would be nice to have some injuries back. I assume County will be bringing a fair few fans?

Obviously a lot more interest at Stockport for this game as their match thread is into its 7th page although the majority are expecting them to lose and several posters think it could be by 3 or 4 goals. They have scored in all 4 away games so far but have lost them all by a single goal, 1-2 at Stevenage, Doncaster and Mansfield and 2-3 at Crawley. They will have Paddy Madden available again as he has completed his suspension. A certain Mr Horsfall will have to be watched from dead ball situations into our box, he has regained his place after being dropped to the bench for a few games. Their fans comment that they lack pace in the team. We have a good home record against Stockport winning 15, drawing 7 and only 3 defeats. If none of our injured players are available I expect Lintott to continue at right back and Fox to replace Bowie. Eppiah might get 30 minutes from the bench as we "build up his minutes" but apart from Maxted and Haynes there will not be any other experienced players. Dyche, Cross, Abimbola and another youth to fill the other places. Darren Handley is our referee who we had for our 4-2 win at Leyton Orient and before that our 0-0 draw at Sc***horpe which many thought was the 2 dropped points which cost us automatic promotion. Another game against a team from the lower half of the table and I see that so far we have been considered to have had the easier set of fixtures of all teams in division 2. I expect us to get another 3 points and the 2 teams above us play each other as Leyton Orient travel to Barrow.

This match appears to be available as a video match pass on IFollow, presumably because of the international weekend (no premier league or Championship games).

Stockports Yellow Forum is strangely muted on Saturdays match with 60% polling for a loss! That's the highest % for a home loss have ever seen. Considering the fanfare engendered at the start of the season and also dropping a Mr Horspath it is a really a surprising attitude!

West Stand Oap has covered off most of the bits and pieces.....
Stockport make their fourth visit to Sixfields, they won on their first (a 3-0 win in 2003) and then have lost the last three without scoring a goal. Last visit to Sixfields was back in December 2010 when the Cobblers ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Kevin Thornton and Michael Jacobs. A crowd of 4,088 saw the game which was refereed by future PL whistler Jonathan Moss.
Midfielder Antoni Sarcevic is their leading scorer, with a princely total of just three goals, no other player has scored more than one. The Hatters have won just once away this season, that win coming in the EFL Cup with a single goal victory at Harrogate. They fell to Leicester in the second round missing three penalties in the shootout played out in front of over 10300 fans. Like us they have lost both of their games in the EFL Trophy, at Port Vale and this week at home to the U21's of Wolves.
The experienced Darren Handley will be the man in charge, he's only officiated two games this season, dishing out four yellows in each with a red given out to one of the Liverpool youngsters in their EFL Trophy defeat at Rochdale this week. Mr Handley reffed us twice last term, the goalless draw at Scunny with five Cobblers going into the book, and then in charge of our 4-2 win at Leyton Orient in April, five yellows for us in that game too....Hoskins seeing the card in both of those games. He does like his cards, consistently averaging over four yellows a game over the past few seasons, he also reffed another Scunny v Cobblers fixture back in 2016, a 1-1 draw when Matty Taylor saw red. This will be his first visit to Sixfields since 2017.

A few weeks later Jon Moss refereed Big Boy Bingers in an U10 Horsforth St Margaret's vs Bingley Juniors game. No idea of the result, but the match was watched by Norman Hunter, amongst others.

Yeah, I think he's not going to make 90 but with injuries he'll almost have to start unless McWilliams is back.
Real question is about Maglorie's injury status and how that effects the defence. If he's injured you could shift Sherring over and put Lintott in, or replace him with Dyche, or if Odimayo is back maybe the situation changes but he'd probably not going to be ready for 90.
Bowie being on international leaves us light on the bench, with only Eppiah to come on for the 30 minutes or so he get's, wonder if either Cross or Ngwa did enough to get a cameo in the league today.

Light in the middle there, hope we don't get any knocks. I'm not 100% convinced on Lintott (not as long term prospect, he is Dyche's age so plenty of time to improve with game time, but I mean his ability right now) so I hope he proves me wrong.
