The Ref was EASILY THE BEST REF WE'VE HAD THIS SEASON. Easily....
He was definitely the prettiest

MC - "nothing critical about his performance other than the 5 consecutive kicks that went straight out of play", so saying after he had just played 1 half of football that looked like a competition winner was not being critical. I guess you noticed that when the Stockport 'keeper got down that end he also had trouble with his kicking at the start of the second half.
OAP, The patronising and cynical opinion(s) will continue unless they are checked. In effect he is a troll and thrives on any response. The best bit now is half of us can’t read! Only comment/reply if justified. New goalie is a ‘competition winner’ - just about the nastiest insult possible. Hope Tom King doesn’t come on here!

It takes time to adapt to a non committed stance on here. But I fear you are losing your patience with at least one hyper self opinionated ‘fan’! Our turn will come when the team clicks and Bowie glides again not to mention the return of the AWOL lot.
You could try taking some of your own advice occasionally! It was a comment on the over exuberant use of “So” !

My first visit to Stockport, following a good stop in Altrincham. Pitch was like a carpet, especially compared to the one we saw at Salford the previous week. The away end would be quite good if the weather was slightly warmer, glad that I was in the side stand although that was pretty chilly as well. Their Pie, mash and mushy peas in the cardboard boxes were excellent. A depleted side almost matched Stockport. The conversion of one or two from the one outstanding save and a couple of other easier chances missed by Sammy and it could have been different. Their first goal was well worked, we appeared to have been light in the right back area, I'm not sure if McGowan was still upfield and their second was going wide until the unfortunate deflection by Sowerby. Tom King did well, apart from his initial kicking, but Burgey was doing similar last week at Salford. That appears to be the coaching intention, to put it on McGowans head on the touchline, which needs to be accurate every time. I thought that his save was 'one for the cameras', it did look good though. In game injuries didn't help and I assume that Appere was unable to complete the 90, that could be the only reason that he was withdrawn. Like others, it was frustrating that we continued to play the high ball when we only had Sammy in the middle after Appere's substitution, Bowie should probably have taken up that position, it might have produced something or at least enabled us to retain possession. Marvo's stats are concerning when seen in print, we need to get out of the habit and improve them, starting with this Saturday. I agree with the couple of other posters, I thought that the Officials were excellent.

Rebecca Welch has her first Championship game today, Birmingham v PNE, good luck to her. I doubt if she will be able to understand what those Brummies are shouting at her anyway.
