I went to Hillsborough when we played them in the FA Cup, ironically the same season we played Liverpool at Anfield in the Carling Cup...
Very emotional seeing the Hillsborough memorials at both grounds...
I'm sure we were housed in the eary Leppings Lane end at Hillsborough...

Regardless of which grounds we would like to visit next season I hope Sheffield Wednesday go up, after getting 96 points they deserve to as they finished 10, 15 and 19 points in front of the other play off teams.

I have been, many, many years ago when Wed were in the top flight. They lost 0-2 to Everton. I've completed the 92 several times but also like to the Cobblers at as many grounds as possible.
Incidentally I am at 90 again now, have Tottenham and Brentford to do, real problem getting tickets.
Don’t know if you’d have any interest, or if you’d count it. But it’s not too bad getting tickets for Spurs in the NFL international games. I’ve been back to back years. Incredible stadium btw.

Everyone knows the situation before the season starts. Finish 1st or 2nd, you go up, finish 3rd to 6th, you're in the play offs. If you win the play offs you deserve to go up. Imagine if it was like Rugby Union. Win the league and you might not win the league. Do you think we should have gone up after luckily finishing 7th but beating Exeter 4-0 in the final. Incidentally Posh are winning 3-0.

Mixed feelings on this result, same as many I would also like Wednesday to stay down as not visited yet and importantly its a game that should be easy to get a ticket for. Its probably more rewarding for us if Pooh get all excited and lose to Bolton or Barnsley at Wembley as this also shortens their pre-season for either division, preparing them for another season of getting totally spanked if they do go up.

Cheers. I did have a ticket for one of those European games but it was postponed and I couldn't make the alternative date (In fact I'm not sure if the game was ever played?). I had got a plan for next season, I'd got a mate whose father-in-law is on the Leicester City board and could get me tickets for away games. Sadly, given the Foxes form, I may have left that too late.

No I don't think we should have gone up when we finished 7th and if the season had been played out for the whole 46 games the chances are we would not have even been in the play offs, no surprise that we came straight back down.
I understand the reasons for the play offs but don't agree with them, when all teams have played each other twice the top 4 in Division 4 should be promoted and we would not be moaning about Keith Hill's antics at the end of last season.
I am not really interested in Rugby but the situation there is totally stupid.

I wouldn't mind Posh going up. It means we don't have to go through pain of them beating us.
Over years I've developed a reluctant admiration for them. Their scouting network, business model, way they play football is a great model for lower league clubs in this day and age. They have had some serious attacking talent go through their books over the years, I can't think of another lower league club to rival it to be honest.
Their current manger I'm not a fan of but he's done a job again.
If I was a posh fan, I would even consider us legit rivals anymore. Just an annoying mosquito I have to decisively swat away once every now and then.

Agreed. You gotta admire their business model. I took a quick look at our recent record going back to Sep 2008 (all L1 fixtures). Its a horror show;-
P 8 W 0 D 1 L 7
F 3 A 17
So on that basis more than happy for them to go up!

If you’re genuinely interested, get in touch near the time John. A Few of us will be going. One of the boys is a Ravens fan so definitely that game, and the other game should be a cracker. It’s normally pretty easy to get tickets right up to game day as loads get season tickets and then can’t be bothered to go. https://m.facebook.com/groups/nflfansukbuyandsell/?ref=share This group is worth a join.

Fair enough. Personally I'm a fan of the play offs. Keeps the season alive for more teams for longer and we'd have never had our days out at Wembley without them, one particularly memorable, two not so and probably the best one we couldn't go to.

It would be interesting if a club decided they didn't like the play off system so refused the play.

If the Wendies don't go up after getting 96 points, as now seems likely, I think their fans can rightly feel the same injustice as we did last year.

At the start of the season what would you have voted for, 4th place gets automatic promotion or 4th to 7th in the playoffs? Bear in mind that the issue we had last year could be shifted to those battling 4th and 5th place. Whilst in hindsight most would say otherwise, I reckon they would leave it as is if they were making the decision at the start of the season.

Not really. They're the ones that blew it, not because their rivals were playing a team of kids. You can argue we should have beaten Sc***horpe away and probably beaten a few other teams but at the end day it was all down to what happened on that day.

Initially I thought it was an OG, but after the replays it looked like it came off Matt Smiths shoulder?

Regardless of whether it came of Smiths shoulder or was an own goal, I thought it was a dreadful game, in a dreadful stadium. I really hope Stockport can get some of their injured players back and pull themselves together for the 2nd leg as I really don't want Salford in L1.
On the night though Salford were much the better side.
