Theo Foley was captain and right back of our best team ever. He was also the penalty king! Some of us are old enough to remember him playing . A club legend.
RIP Theo.

Big Jack Charlton, what a great man, I met him at an autograph fair at the Park Inn. I got him to sign my 1966 World Cup Final programme and I asked him about the rumour that he based his Republic of Ireland tactics on Graham Carr's NTFC team and he confirmed it to be true and we had a great chat about lots of different football things. There was a queue of people waiting for Jack to sign things, so I said I better let him get on with things, his answer was "They can wait, we're talking football" and I chatted to him for around 15 minutes. An absolutely lovely bloke and so down to earth. RIP Jack .

Former Cobbler Tommy Robson has pasted away aged 76, nice bloke was Tommy, I met him at a re-union at the Hilton a few years back and we finished up in the residents bar until about 2.00 a.m
I think he played for a couple of other insignificant other teams as well.
