At our game tonight scribbling notes down in the stand. Big rumour doing the rounds hes set to be appointed as coach at the club with maybe a director of football overseeing him.....

Or maybe he was just scouting the team for tactics for our match with them next week.

He would be more use to us scouting rather than playing.

Clearly they have realised that also - hence why he went as opposed to anyone else.

Seriously i guess he must live near there

I just found out Steve Guinan got sacked by Cambridge back in 2000 for instigating a food fight at a formal club dinner. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2000/mar/26/newsstory

Perhaps Arsene Wenger will take him on to operate as a pizza chucker in the tunnel after games against ManUre. He did say he'd had a couple of "unorthodox" offers in the summer after being transfer-listed... Tongue

You can see it now.

He takes over at Hereford and who will his first win be against?

Will probably come off the bench and net the winner as well

(from the penalty spot obviously)

If Guinan is offered the job, for him to be player-manager, we would have to loan him to them until the transfer window re-opens.

Or he moves as a manager only until January.

it would appear that the Guinan rumour has some support in the Hereford press

Couldn't we cancel his contract by 'mutual consent' or something? There must be some way round it.

He clearly wants the job and I hope he gets it (so long as he's not appointed before our game against them next Saturday, sod's law and all that Grin ). Personally don't rate him as a player but some of the abuse he gets is unjustified- top bloke apparently and his little antics in front of the Kop with Thornton, Jacobs and Wedderburn have written him into Cobblers fokelore. Cheesy Would be nice to see him get the Hereford job and be a success.

If Guinan went as manager this week, could we put as part of the deal that he doesnt start until Monday, as to avoid inside knowledge for next week?
