Got to agree. Early 70s, my favourite era for music. So many classics.

This is truly sensational Shoey, Ronnie Wood is leading on bass and god bless Charlie.

Sorry Melly, this is a great track and nothing wrong with early Faces and even early Rod Stewart with Jeff Beck etc, but what happened to him? He just became a bit of a twat and released a load of shįte from about '75 onwards.

One of Wizzards better but less successful hits. Sorry about everyone's favourite DJ at the start.

I don't only live in the past. Here's an excellent band from Romania from this year. Check out their album; Disko Telegraf.

But i expect you wouldn't say no to a bit of Ian Anderson standing on one leg, playing a flute and reciting Living in the Past, Shoemender?

But i expect you wouldn't say no to a bit of Ian Anderson standing on one leg, playing a flute and reciting Living in the Past, Shoemender? Anyone remember the dude from about twenty years ago, dressed in multi coloured jester gear, who used to carry his flute around, and find somewhere very awkward to play it? Like the middle of the Welly Road. Used to drink in Shipmans. Word was that he owned a large chunk of Salcey Forest. He loved being called Jethro, and I last saw/heard him at Cropredy, walking up and down the road, from the campsite to the Brasenose, and back again whilst playing his flute. At 04AM.

The best live version I could find of the Seger masterpiece. Personally I reckon the studio recording with the guitar solo is better than the live sax solo but you can’t have everything.

One of the best and way out bands of all time. Watch and listen before you diss it. Revolutionary, innovative and influential.
Apologies, for some reason I missed this. If I am honest Shoey your choices don’t always do it for me. This is extraordinary though, absolutely loved it. A visual and musical treat on a number of levels.

Cheers Melly. Good to get a positive response. Main man, Daevid Allen RIP, was born in Melbourne.

Ah! Gong, never the easiest listen but certainly entertaining and full of surprises. I think I liked them best with Steve Hillage on board.

Selling their LP for 59p must have helped
