If its ture, It's a good signing.
'Mixed game for Oscar today; had no business charging out of the area for their goal as Matty had everything under control. The double save from their free kick in the second half was nothing short of outstanding. He should then have come off his line to stop to get to the ball before their striker, hesitated almost disasterously, then came out far too late but pulled of a great save ! Will be a good Premiership keeper in a few years time.'
'And dont forget the saves he made on tues to affordus a draw, the guy is pure quality!'
Some quotes from an Exeter Forum.
Good shot stopper, needs to tweak his communication apparently.
Still, a good signing!

Lets hope he settles in quickly and doesn’t unsettle the back 4 too much.

Sounds decent enough.
Certainly enjoy it when we sign random foreign players....albeit this time only on loan.

Played 7 games for Exeter....didnt keep a clean sheet, his loan was extended month by month from September till December but he was dropped after the 0-4 defeat to Huddersfield on the 10th of October, but even it that game it does say in the match report that "Jansson kept the scoreline semi-respectable with some fine saves"
I knew Sammos' Tottenham connection would come in handy some time!!!

Goalkeeping cover is goalkeeping cover, I guess. I wouldn't be suprised to see Walker start Saturday though. Swedish player sounds cool, but in terms on communication...I dunno. We'll see!

Would you expect the first choice goalkeeper at League 2 Northampton to be as good as the first choice keeper at Premiership Tottenham?
Of course not. So why would you expect the situation with a stand in to be any different.

I personally would play Walker between the sticks. I know he is young and inexperienced but surely he has a much better understanding with the back four than this new guy will have. He has been developing an understanding with the defence all through pre season. So changing that and chucking a random keeper in that they have known for 2 days could backfire.

Yeah but sticking in an inexperienced kid can backfire (see Dunn all the way up until Brown's arrival). Use Walker in the JPT games and build him up towards a league game slowly, don't just chuck him in at the start and expect him to fill Dunn's boots.

So why would we chuck in another club's inexperienced kid and expect him to fill Dunn's boots any better?

Not inexperienced though, is he? He's got league experience (at a higher level than this) under his belt. Steele hadn't played any games before he came here either. Would you have played Walker over Steele after Dunn's injury last season? Would you have played Dunn over Zieler/Fielding in our relegation season? It just makes sense to get a loanee in, even if you do play Walker you'll need a lad for the bench. And between someone who's never played a league game and someone who has played and recieved praise for his performances a level higher, for the opening game of the season, you'd obviously go with the more experienced option. Everyone was slating Gray for throwing Dunn in at the deep end, so why would this be any different?

Sure, but I don't think that seven games at Exeter really constitutes significantly more expereince for Jansson over Walker. I just think that Walker did well in the Watford and Birmingham games - might also have been nice if the announcer had spotted he wasn't Chris Dunn - and that we might do his confidence more damage by leaving him out than including him. Absolutely take your point though that we also need a keeper for the bench, so a loanee makes sense.
