Lewis is absolutely pony and 99% of their fans are happy to admit that.
It's only the England call up when he was younger (which more reflects the sad depth of top level goalkeepers we have in this country) and Fry's propaganda that make outsiders think he's any good. If you watch the goals they concede every weekend he's usually at fault for at least 1 or 2. I'm glad they've got him in the sticks rather than anyone competent.
I am aware he is pony at present, but offers did come in for him a couple of years back that didn't meet Fry's ridiculous asking price which have, as a result limited his progression as a footballer.

Well thats a shame for Lewis Young. Obviously isn't going to make it to the heady heights his brother has achieved. Maybe he should start throwing himself on the ground at the slightest touch. Works for Ashley

Not surprised at the future departures of Wedderburn and Young. Haven't really shown us anything to show they are league players in my opinion.

In Lewis' case its lack of ability that has limited his progression as a footballer , I know because the same thing happened to me

Radio Northampton are reporting that the bid was from a championship club. Although they omitted the words "punching above their weight", and "one more season at best", i think we can all guess who it was.
Not necessarily!! Calderwood was at the Oxford home game a few weeks ago-Birmingham(championship)?!

Michael Appleton was also at Sixfields for the game vs Oxford. Portsmouth are at present still a Championship club although does anyone know if they have a transfer embargo against them again?
Also I'm guessing Ryan Gilligan isn't happy with some of today's goings on? From his twitter: "What a total shambles, the things I'm seeing are disgraceful, a lot of good people being f***ed about & treated with a lack of respect!"

Probably Watford, I know Dyche was a frequent visitor to Sixfields this season and has always admired Jacobs, wouldn't surprise me not too far either .. He should go!

AB has handled the whole thing professionally and respectfully, without it at any point having a detrimental impact on the teams performances. Unlike when GJ turned up last season! Quite frankly, whatever happens now with the fringe players is pretty irrelevant. AB has a core of around 10 (12-14 with the loanees) players who Im sure he is keen to work with next season. The rest will be on their way!

He should go! i would have though he would have been with watford most games..............aside from that he lives in nothampton so would come anyway, same reason CC is also around more than he should be. that said, jacobs would be a good signing for watford.

I guess that really depends on what is actually going on. Letting someone know their contract won't be renewed is a situation that can be dealt with respectfully or otherwise. I'm not particularly a Gilligan fan but players like him and Crowe deserve a proper send-off - as fans we don't often get to show our appreciation whan a player leaves but I'd be on my feet aplauding for both of these (and others) given the chance.

If that tweet is about Boothroyd then Gilligan needs his head checking, Aidy is letting the players know now so they can put themselves in the shop window and look for a new club. To me it would be more lack of respect to lead the players on and not give them enough time to find new employment.

Appleton wasn't there to watch Jacobs, he was there to watch another of our players.
