It looked like a big deflection from behind the goal.

I can't remember a goal that late in the last 20 years. Not sure if someone who's been watching us for longer can think of one later than that?

In terms of 'deepest into injury time' wasn't Brad Johnson's winner against Sc***horpe about 7 minutes in or something?

Wouldn't that have been a goal kick then?  Tongue

One of my boys in the last 5 minutes kept asking me to leave for the car to beat the rush out - thankfully my lectures over the years where i say you should never leave a match until the final whistle has plenty of substance now.

He said he would have been gutted if he had missed this last minute drama.

Yes, I remember that well - it was a beauty.
But my point is that you very rarely get anywhere near 5 minutes added to extra time let alone a goal right at the end of it.

If that's aimed at me, its based on the assumption that extra time was introduced to football in the last half a century seeing as FA Cup games used to go to replay, after replay, after replay.

... I think that was aimed at Drilling's comment mate.

The BBC highlights here
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_cup/8944666.stm
say the cross for the last goal was Michael Jacobs but it was clearly Alex Konstantinou.
Alex deserves credit for the goal but it was also sweet that giving it as an own-goal to Mills completed his "hat-trick"
