If they can't be arsed to complete the east stand after 6 years they should get the *uck out of the club. It ain't difficult.
Well... In the 125 years that NTFC has been around, nobody’s built a thing except the council. That would suggest, as far as our history goes, it is difficult.

I have to admit that sometimes when I read some of the posts on here it makes me think that people almost want the club to fail just to prove their points.
Very true - some of them appear relatively new posters. Very strange!

If I won the Lotto tomorrow and bought the Cobblers I wouldn't do jack shít with the east stand until we were selling out 50% of our home games. It just does not make business sense. If you build it they will come is great in a film, but in real life I think not.
Then you can *uck off too with your lottery jack s***e.

When you run a business often when chatting socially a frequent line you will hear is “what you want to do is this”. The narrator will then usually suggest a business proposal that is frankly away with the fairies. Usually highly expensive, time consuming, impractical and unattractive to the market. It’s best not to point out the obvious flaws in their business plan though. They will sometimes take offence and you end up caught up in an hour long conversation whilst they defend the indefensible and attempt to prove the plan is the greatest idea since the invention of the wheel. Sound familiar?
What usually kills the conversation stone dead is when you suggest they should raise some capital against their property etc and give it a go, promising to come onboard when they “prove the concept”. Their enthusiasm usually tends to wane a bit after that.

Looking at the amount of significant sides that have succumbed to non league football over the years, you could easily argue its quite an achievement to maintain league status for as long as we have. Of course there are always negatives to find. I just prefer a better view on things. I still believe better is to come.. Perhaps I’m delusional 🤪😀
Using our new invention data, how many clubs have spent the majority of their existence in the bottom division and then gone on to spend 5 years or more in the championship or above. This should be compared to how many clubs have dropped out of the league under the same circumstances. This would then indicate if we are performing above or below average. However, you can save a bit of time Tel because I can tell you you’re right without even looking. Does this mean we shouldn’t strive for better, of course not. But perhaps the level of some of the vitriol is unreasonable as well.

An interesting if somewhat simplistic proposal that seems lacking in short, medium and long term strategies that may support observations regarding degrees of difficulty. Please can you elaborate with more detailed planning particularly around financial forecasting that underpin clearly defined objectives. Thank you in advance.

This is my first and last post on this thread as I will not be wasting my time responding to any replys. The thread is now 1418 pages long, I wonder how many wasted man hours that equates to, and as far as I can see has achieved nothing and I doubt another 1418 pages will. There will be no movement on the east stand until KT and the board are ready but when it is finally completed I expect most on here to be disappointed.
True, but then similar conclusions could be levelled against every single thread on this forum. Who are we, and why are we here are questions that mankind has asked for centuries. Especially after a liquid lunch.

I don’t think he meant selling 50% of tickets; I think he meant ‘selling out’ (100%) of half the games

These are just the unwashed. The club has never, in its entire history, provided any decent level corporate or entertainment facilities worthy of the name let alone help generate sponsorship, promotion or even just an enjoyable experience for a washed person along out of curiosity. No pitch view restaurant serving decent wine worth spending the whole afternoon in only paper plates and concrete blocks. I actually preferred the cramped experience under the main stand at the County Ground to the prison effect of Sixseats. How much revenue the club has lost over the decades we will never know but it might have stopped the yo-yo's? We very nearly actually got these facilities...remind me again, what happened?

Pleasant chappie aren't you. You like so many on here expect every owner to spend shed loads of cash for no return. That might happen in your cloud cuckoo land, but not in the real world.

Along with Welly and Wadey you appear to be a 'betting man'? If this is not correct please accept my apologies. On the above assumption which are the best odds on Eurovision Contest song to bet on? Another apologies to all as this is not a thread topic.

Agreed. This is why KT needs to be able to develop land attached to the stadium now, not in another 5 years. Nobody will continue to throw money away and its the only way to finance stadium improvements.
