Let's start with a few things that we all agree are true. The original deal for CDNL to buy all the land from WNC contained a clause stating "No stand, no land". I think we all agree this is 100% correct ? Cildara then outbid CDNL for the land, minus the running track land. Agreed ? CDNL then upped their bid to match Cildara, but the "No Stand, No Land" clause was removed and their bid included the running track land. So would WNC want to remove this clause ? Highly unlikely as the Stadium owners, they would surely welcome any improvement to their asset . So the only other party involved in the deal is CDNL, so why would they want the clause removed if they are, as they have stated numerous times, in discussions with Buckinghams and are going to complete the East stand ? Why go to the trouble of removing that clause of the deal if you are going to complete the stand anyway ?
LET THIS SINK IN !!! CDNL GOT WNC TO REMOVE THE "NO STAND, NO LAND" CLAUSE FROM THE SIXFIELDS DEAL, DOESN'T THAT RING ALARM BELLS ABOUT THE CHANCES OF GETTING THE STAND FINNISHED ?

Is that strictly true mate. I was pretty sure the council omitted it without any pressure. Then when it was noticed by some people, they stated that they had received all of the necessary reassurances they needed. In short, they scrėwed up.

I'd be a little surprised if WNC volunteered to remove a clause that would improve one of their assets, at no cost to themselves, without any pressure from anyone. Are you, seriously, saying that it was removed by error I find that incredibly hard to believe , even for our local council !!!!!!!

Well… I’m just saying that there is none of that thing we usually like to rely on… Namely evidence, that it wasn’t just omitted. I mean let’s be honest. They did give a bloke and his mate 14 million quid without a single safeguard. They also appear to have signed over an entire football stadium and it’s facilities to the current owners, without any control over how it’s run, maintained or developed. So my theory seems quite tame in the scheme of most of the things they do…

The council are an utter shambles, at best.

It would be easy for CDNL to put it in writing that they will complete the East Stand when the land deal goes through. It would put some peoples minds at rest, but I won't hold my breath Here's a thing, how about all those posters who believe that KT will complete the East Stand, ask him to put it in writing, no "There will be some guarantee's" just "The East Stand will be completed to an acceptable standard" Not hard to do is it ?

Not Really. The trusts legal representative supported the Cilldara bid. That did not include a committment to biuld the stand. Its entirelly logical that that the club would remove that same commitment

Why would the club deny itself some guaranteed redevelopment? I think you mean CDNL removed the commitment?

The clause to rebuild the East surely had to be removed so that both parties were bidding on a like for like basis.

Thanks for clearing that up, so CNDL bid £2m and Cilldara bid £3m that’s like for like.

To be honest the whole redevelopment saga has dragged on so long now that I am bored witless by it. By the time it does happen I will be too bored to celebrate a bright new era for the club This was 10 years ago, poor guy

Except they didn't...CDNL's bid included the ACV land whereas Cilldaras did not and never did.

More money could be made by taking the cobblers up 3 leagues than could be made by the land
