The staff say they are big fans of NTFC so I ask them these questions.....
What do you want from your football club, can you honestly say that you are truly proud of NTFC in it's current state? Do you feel you and the owners have done everything possible (within reason) and maximised NTFC potential?
Because I know as a long life fan, I am currently NOT proud of NTFC and I am so so so so frustrated at it's continued mediocre performances on and off the pitch. (and the acceptance of that by it's owners, staff and many fans)

The thoughts of someone that is not in the know as much as the average poster on here …
My initial thought was one of anger against the club - here’s a letter straight out of the Boris / Trump playbook … they don’t like their feet being held to the fire!
But then I read it properly. The Trust need to answer these very serious claims and, if there is a thread of truth to them they need to change their ways and think how they can seriously work with the club (on our behalf!) not against it. And if they can’t do that then … what’s the point of them?
I have never considered joining the Trust although I’ve been a supporter for nearly half a century and been a ST holder for a large chunk of that time. I guess that’s my fault and I open myself to the apathetic label! But all I know is a healthy challenging but supportive relationship between club and trust must be a good thing for all of us. I don’t see that happening anytime soon without major change!
However, the letter could be more specific about what they expect to happen next. It might have also been nice to have extended an olive branch to The Trust - no sign of that though!

I’m sure if the letter is contrived it will all come out and those involved in drafting it will need to take a long hard look at themselves. If this doesn’t materialise perhaps you should take a long hard look at yourself? |
