Peobably overly simplistic, but hasn't that always been the case, finish the stand and reap the rewards? The question on other peoples minds then being what is done with those rewards? If the money is there why has there been a delay of 5 years, did/do they seeiously think someone was going to give them a helping hand with the initial outlay?
I don’t think it has been as transparent as it is today that it is totally about the lease. You are right, they could have finished the stand years ago if it wasn’t about that. At least now they are declaring that. I think people are generally worn down by it and the council could now quickly become the villains in the piece. If the Trust stick around, they can only pin their colours to the council now. If the council succumb to KT, then I’m not sure where that leaves the Trust.

Let’s wait for the Trust statement on Monday, KT has broadsides them with two shots, it’s time to fire back and may I politely suggest with everything they have.

Thanks Tcobb. I’m still very sceptical but saw how much land is owned by CDNL, and it is a lot. If I had the capital and the only thing that stopped me from doing as I pleased with that land was finishing a shell of a stand, I’d find the way.
Over to KT and DB 👍🏽 And equally as importantly, a good season on the pitch after the sh*te of last year.
Trouble is Dan there is other land next to CDNL land that is under the control of NTFC via a 105 year lease from NBC KT wants to develop his land with NTFC land hence the delay. NBC wanted the Trust involved after being burnt by DC Hence why after 6 years in the cold KT started talking nicely to the Trust as he needed them to get planning approved on the whole site The Trust asked KT (on his request) questions about the development to help understand exactly what it meant for the future of NTFC KT refused and wanted a controlled public zoom meeting which Trust refused as been victim to KT's spin machine before. In the meantime The Trust finally got actual evidence of events that KT 'lied' about, KT knows they know and low and behold after 6 years he shows fans some CGI's to appease some fans in thinking we are going forward. Although plans have not been submitted, no actual drawing shown, no costing, no internal layouts, sizes etc nothing. (I could knock up those cgi's in an afternoon) they mean nothing.

‘If’ the Trust had something of any substance about illegal activities it should/would have surfaced by now. I’d have serious concerns if they do and haven’t. If they haven’t they’ll keep quiet. All that has been alluded to by a couple of people are second hand speculative rumours. Even if it was anything morally wrong they’d be left p*sing in the wind. If someone can do a vanishing trick with £10m, leading to a six year million pound investigation yet to be resolved, I doubt anyone is losing any sleep regarding some loose hints on the web. I do admire the club for coming out fighting, reacting both to the Trust’s letter and alleged conduct, plus shining a light on what they want from the council. I get the sense though that it will just roll on for a while longer yet.

Been pondering the letter from the staff. If the owners have had enough of some of the more outrageous accusations flying about, they obviously have the option to sue. However, that can appear crass, egotistical, counterproductive and often difficult to achieve. However, they have a duty of care to the staff and many businesses are already under significant pressure due to Covid. If they are finding their roles increasingly difficult and challenging due to the circumstances described in their open letter then the owners arguably have an obligation to address the root cause of this additional burden. Perhaps this is a wild theory of my own, but my advice would be to take caution with any accusations. This situation appears to be evolving and changing rapidly, don’t be too surprised if they decide to make an example of someone.

Couldn’t agree more Melly, hence my refusal to post anything. It really doesn’t matter because I’m led to believe the council also know. The question the council need to answer is are the club and tax payers getting a fair deal from the various land deals? If the answer is yes I’d be amazed.

Mate, I’ll guarantee the answer will be yes. They are hardly likely to announce they have done a deal and by the way it’s a rubbish outcome for the tax payers? The problem with the assessment of any deal is that it depends on your perspective. I reckon a fair few on here will be disappointed to put it mildly. I also reckon the owners will also be disappointed given the outlay, timescales and difficulties. I just wish it was all over personally, I’m sick of it tbh.

And if they don’t want to do it your way, or the way some others want them to… Would you set about destroying his and the clubs reputation??
But I’m with you all the way about the shyte on the pitch 😀😀
No I wouldn’t do that. I’d have a sulk, say I’d not buy a season ticket, and then remember the people who I go with each week, and succumb to a season ticket. Peobably overly simplistic, but hasn't that always been the case, finish the stand and reap the rewards? The question on other peoples minds then being what is done with those rewards? It probably is overly simplistic yes. I don’t doubt that this reveal is heavily pressured by the ‘New Hotelend’ project. All I do know is in my job, I have dealt with both South Northants Council, and the reformed West Northants council. West Northants council is far more efficient as an entity. Maybe that’s the factor behind the sudden drive. I don’t have that answer. Trouble is Dan there is other land next to CDNL land that is under the control of NTFC via a 105 year lease from NBC
KT wants to develop his land with NTFC land hence the delay.
NBC wanted the Trust involved after being burnt by DC
Hence why after 6 years in the cold KT started talking nicely to the Trust as he needed them to get planning approved on the whole site
The Trust asked KT (on his request) questions about the development to help understand exactly what it meant for the future of NTFC
KT refused and wanted a controlled public zoom meeting which Trust refused as been victim to KT's spin machine before.
In the meantime The Trust finally got actual evidence of events that KT 'lied' about, KT knows they know and low and behold after 6 years he shows fans some CGI's to appease some fans in thinking we are going forward.

I said to Kelvin that he had done things I didn’t agree with in regards to the trust. That will always remain the case. I also can believe that there is evidence held as you have alluded to. I am far from KTs biggest supporter I can assure you. If there’s no talk of progression by the close of the year, I won’t be quiet 😂 I definitely think the Trust need a big reshuffle of the board members and how they conduct themselves going forward. It’s sadly lost support of a huge percentage of the fan base and that’s something which needs rectifying. That said, it’s not an excuse to not get the answers for the questions which KT invited. Do you know why the Trust board weren’t open to the zoom call Random?

Hi Dan, i not sure 100% but I believe that KT wanted to do a public zoom call with all supporters invited. Now, i think it was highly likely that KT would have highjacked it to release this cgi presentation, moving the focus away from any detailed questions / answers. Hence why KT was pissed off that it was refused
The timings are not a coincidence re the East Stand presentation, sums up KT's dealings with the Trust over the 6 years IMHO.
Meaning to me the Trust were correct not to trust KT with a zoom call rather than answers in writing.
I think I am going to work on a timeline of events of KT time at NTFC to see if I and others (anyone) can make any sense of where we are now and more importantly where we are heading (which is what the Trust wanted answers for).
Please anyone send me (pm) any dates / events / interviews that they think should be included. I promise I will neutral, I will layout the facts and let them fall where they may. It will then be up to individuals to take an informed view of events, perhaps some of us will change our position.
With due respect Dan, I bet there are 20+ posters on here who have said "i will wait until (such a point) and if nothing happens I will be unhappy" or words to that effect. Well its now been almost 6 years, pretty sure nobody said if nothing has happen by 2022 ..........
The last 6 years of DC bear a very very real comparison to the 6 years of KT and look how that ended up. Again something the Trust board members are very aware and concerned by.

It is starting to look increasingly like an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Having said that, fraud cases are notoriously Protracted. I know there is still a push in legal circles to have specialist jury's just to hear fraud cases. Imagine from a jurors perspective, trying to sift through the amount of very specialist information in a case like this if it goes to court. Is there an up to date figure on costs so far?

I know they have been trying to get this passed for quite a few years now. It all stems from a case involving some serious white collar crime where the defendants basically walked because the jury were bamboozled by the defense team.
