Ok. That’s fair enough. But that was the name that Kev mentioned to me. So you can see why I thought it was a non starter.
Unfortunately Roger, none of these people turned out to be viable, even those suggested by some at the awful turn of events post DC. We have what we have. The last few months have shown the benefit of working with people, as opposed to against. Plus it has started to change a lot of archaic, outdated and outmoded way that some have operated for years. Hopefully, with the appointment of a appropriate individuals onto the board, and refreshing of some of the Trust board members, we are starting to see the dawning of a less vindictive, and more productive way forward. This coupled with some exiting new initiatives, definitely seems like we are starting to turn some pages finally.
It is always best if people work together and I can say 100% that the Trust board members have always, and still do, want what is best for NTFC and I think NBC are the same. They, obviously, also need to get the best deal for the tax payers. I'll be happy when I see the builders back on site but the timescales being mentioned are a bit worrying, DB is in his mid 70's, if something happens to him, where does that leave NTFC ?

I'm very confident the suggested new plans for the north section of the stadium will satisfy all parties. We constantly hear talk of how clubs can be financed and ways to successfully break the boom and bust cycles, fingers often pointed at owners, well why should the pressure of supporting such an important community asset as NTFC with its proud history be left to one individual? Why should we not put in too if we can? If the soon to be released plans for the north stand gather enough traction which i think they will, some members of the Trust will need to move into full time positions if they can and the builders can move in when you call them. Time for a different approach and thanks to KT, DB and WNC the door has been offered open. Its up to us now.

That's a big ask SMM, unless it is a paid position. Attending meetings and working around busy jobs and lives is one thing. Dedicating yourself to a cause full time is another. Most people are not fortunate enough to be in that position, without having the inclination to do so. Without generalising too much you couple be looking at a band of silver generation OAPs whose only commitment is the M&S foodhall You are right though, for anything to happen it needs the dedication, drive and definitely finance of like minded individuals to instigate change, unless we get a multi millionaire owner looking for a hobby.

Can’t wait to get back to sixfields next season I assume things will be finished by an next august, before the end of the decade....possibly.
We need to factor in Brexit, Covid, the shortage of HGV drivers, tradesmen etc.

Update, although as some will point out same as most updates where doesn't commit to anything. I get his points about labour, materials etc but would at least like to hear a target from him. For example I doubt anything will start before the end of the season, so this time next year at the earliest for it to be open. What did get me rewinding was at 11:04 when talking about the development land. Said "they can" quickly followed by a panicked "you can", have they sold the club again? Conspiracy theory time.

It’s interesting to see some common misconceptions/lies hopefully put to bed. Well done to the club and the council.

Interesting to see that GPC has since deleted his negative post regarding the KT video update... It basically slated KT yet again (yawn) citing no tangible updates and lack of confirmed start/finish dates for The East Stand WTF do you expect KT to say at this point, when the whole thing hinges on the council ratification next month?
He's clearly stated a more detailed update will be forthcoming in the New Year once legal agreements in place & contractors have been liased with regards to availability of materials / workers to start & complete the project.Expecting an official trust response to the video imminently...

As far as I'm aware GPC post his own thoughts on here unless he says "With my Trust hat on here" , a few people need to remember this.

KT states it’s always been his intention to move the East stand forward Anyway what I don’t understand is why isn’t KT talking to contractors now and agreeing a potential start date? He states that it’s nailed on to pass on the 7th as it’s an independent review. Still not getting the 3 years that KT states he would like to extend to 5 FIVE years! Materials my arße.

He said they will be having informal chats. Put yourself in the position of the contractor. With everything that's gone on would you start putting anything in place without it being fully signed off, contracts in place and signed in blood? I wouldn't.

You’d still start the process though, put the job out to competitive tender.

What do the trust/fans want? Reading comments on one of the Facebook groups this morning, it seems some if the serial moaners what a sugar daddy, so they are never going to be happy with KT/DB.
