having read the proposals about outdoor gigs and music festivals, that's all well and good but there are housing estates there now and one of the reasons the big Sixfields fair down the south car park no longer happens is because of the noise at night. has this been considered at all?

There are houses all around the racecourse and Abington Park and they have events and funfairs etc on them throughout the year.

The cricket club, and the Saints are also surrounded by houses, yet they get by. The next one at the Saints is Pete Tong. That would make my ears bleed.

I'm just telling you why, at the time, it was reported the big fair had been stopped from happening again

they may have something in their planning that allows 3 or so events a year. it's certainly something that they might want to look into before trying to sell the dream of a 7 day a week gig venue that in reality can only operate once a month

Losses of £4.5M in their last 2 sets of accounts including a provision for legal costs associated with historic child abuse cases?  Huh?
Last time I looked it showed a 13 million debt as do MK. It all comes back to the same fact, you need someone to bankroll it. The next time someone puts up these clubs as an example can they also include the identity of someone who is prepared to invest the same amount of money in NTFC, because otherwise the comparisons are worthless.

Can that be right? MK in that much debt ?certain people keep saying we need to increase our capacity,  more people will just turn up , business will be pouring thousands in and everything will be rosey.  So does that mean Beds plans are floored ?

Yes that's correct. Their turnover is no more than ours. They do not own the Ground. They are supported by the owners. They lost 900k last year, before tax, but this was after recording a profit on player sales exceeding £2M.

It's prudent for community based football clubs to invest money and show it as a loss on the balance sheets.
It's when you haven't invested in the club and losses appear they become less palatable.

A professional football club is unlike any other businesses as they get guaranteed payments from affiliations, season tickets, sponsorships etc.
It's also possible to buy and sell players at a profit.

Most clubs invest to achieve on pitch success gaining higher league positions, others it seems to only exist to provide land windfalls.

Plenty of people disappointed they missed out on Chelsea.
Lewis Hamilton is looking to buy a football team and has strong links to the county!!

It’s up to you what you read and believe on this thread. Queries like that may appear naive to some on here!

😂 Its more even more prudent to ignore brains of a rocking horse bullshít. More thoroughly entertaining bollocks from Lutons kamikaze entrepreneur.

If he was after a lower league club, I would have thought that he would be more inclined towards Stevenage?

Didn’t he say it was good to get out of the slums of Stevenage? - perhaps better to keep him away from Abington Street if he comes for a viewing…..
