That’s an assumption you’ve jumped to, not me.
I’m quite aware that we are under different ownership and a different situation even though Gareth is conducting the interviews.
If there was any wrongdoing by Gareth it would have come to light in the investigation,
It hasn’t, there wasn’t and there never was.
That wasn’t the point I was making.

MY point is that it REMINDS me of the bad old days and it’s a period of cobblers history that I’d rather forget.
No more , no less.

Gareth is doing a good job as media officer but I personally get reminded of the bad old days by these style of interviews and I’d rather someone else was interviewing as an understudy to Gareth as a consequence.

IMHO the interviews have always been of a very unprofessional nature and I guess that’s a consequence of them now being done via zoom with the chairman living abroad.
That said they were also pitiful when they looked to be located in a broom cupboard.


I’m no technical wizard but I’d have thought things could have advanced to a more professional level in the years that have passed.

I would think most of us are pleased to see the back of Danny Rose as he was becoming an embarrassment. I said after he played against us that I hoped he would never be seen in a Cobblers shirt and after the game at Barrow that he would not play again.

The Trust will be releasing a statement very shortly

We have made excellent progress and the news will hopefully be well received by all, but especially those who understand why we invoked the ACV

We have an opportunity to secure substantial long term regular income into the club.

Now if KT/DB will do what they have said they will do from day 1 - finish the East stand - the club can finally starting building for a better future

Unless there is a guarantee that they will complete the East Stand, then I am afraid my answer is a no. At the moment there is only one deal on the table for that parcel of land that includes the completion of the East Stand. I am open to hearing ALL genuine offers to complete that stand.

Correct me if I'm wrong but:
In addition to the ACV land, isn't the completion of the East Stand part of the overall package that the council would be/are taking into consideration when assessing whether or not to agree to ceding the ACV land?
Does The Trust planning include this?

Another question that wasn't answered at the time:
I was of the understanding that whoever holds the 'parcel of land' has to guarantee the completion of the East Stand to meet the Councils criteria?
It appears, according to Random, that The Trust plan doesn't include this?

Guarantees of finishing the stand were in the old days and the old deals (no stand no land). The most recent deal agreed between the Council and CDNL held no such guarantees, therefore your understanding is incorrect on this one.

The Council were quite prepared to sell off ALL the land (including the ACV portion) and include a clause where they "could" if they so wished, claim back the NTFC land for a pound if the stand wasn't completed within five years.

And fans should not accept that KT only finishes the East stand if he gets to buy 3.71 acres of land currently under an ACV

There are another 15 acres or so that he wants to buy and sell in the name of NTFC, so if he wants to flip that land, that is where the original "no stand no land" should be

Also bear in mind KT has "promised" to complete the east stand for 6 years without holding the club, fans and council to ransom over some "abandoned land"

Personally I am deeply suspicious of this new £1 sell it back clause - why is it even a consideration?  why is the ACV suddenly tied to the East stand.

It should be a massive red flag to ALL supporters

The question becomes... what is the ACV land worth to sell versus the cost of completing the East stand.

I feel if KT / DB are £100 worse off by developing, they will not and they will give it back. That for me is why this has appeared.

Derek - thank you for the update but of course wishing with cautious optimism for some more detail in the very near future.

Only my opinion but surely better to concentrate on that rather than on what KT/DB have or haven’t done.
