Bayo return?

Why not? We have never replaced him.Could be the kick start we really need.....but he would need to get fitter than his performance for the Gills.

He (Bauza) was part of that league one title winning Swansea team wasn't he? I would think that if he does bugger off from Hereford he'd go back at least to a league 1 standard club. Not sure how we'd tempt him considering we're currently playing around Herefords level. If it's farily big wages then I'd guess that it's someone from a higher-tier who is no longer in favour.

I don't know whether you noticed but Jacobs has not been selected to start in our last three matches, all of which have been won.

He was selected to start four times in the previous six matches, all of which were lost.

I'm not pointing the finger at him for that, he is undoubtably an exciting prospect but some of the comments on here about him have been way over the top. (Bit like when Herbert first got into the team). Sammo, for the moment prefers Holt to Jacobs and on that basis I think a substantiial offer for the young man is a long way off.

That 12 yr old was sold and we starting winning. What's your point? Jacobs is obviously one for the future and I think fans would like to see us keep him and watch him develop. Rather than as soon as he breaks into the team let him leave or sell him.

This is in no way comparable to the 12yr old, stupid thing to say.

It amazes me that the club never seem to tie down its better players to longer contracts, ok its no guarantee the player will stay but at least it increases the probability and of getting a fee and better replacing them if they do leave. I would be devastated if we lost Osman & Davis on frees as i have no confidence in them being adequately replaced. For me taking them out of the team would leave a very poor squad left with no chance of promotion in the foreseeable future.

I'd like to see Osman, Davis, Jacobs, Wedderburn, Beckwith and possibly Thornton and McKenzie tied down beyond the summer as soon as possible. As for the rest of the players out of contract in June, either we can find players of a similar calibre, on a similar wage, who would be happy to join NTFC, or they're getting on a bit and it's probably a bit too early to judge whether or not they'll be of the standard that we need for another season. No tearing rush to sign any of them up for next season at this moment in time.

Then again, Sammo and Crozzer on 3 year deals and Steve Guinan on 2. Long contracts don't always work out.

He said better players. Also, at 32 or wherever he is he's hardly one for the future

At last, we have been waiting two months!
Lets hope the quality of the striker enables us to climb towards the play-offs over the coming weeks.

Suspect Guinan may be off at last?

Please.... please... please let that be true!

After his comments on Saturday I dont want to see him in a Cobblers shirt again. Although I do understand that he is only looking out for himself

No - that was a massive transfer story about a striker.

This is a 'we are signing' which is quite different.

My money is on Gavin Massey from Watford. I have no basis for it, just a wild guess.  Cool
