Very keen to re-aquaint myself with Macc..as haven't been since our first few trips up there in the mid nineties..
..not so keen at paying 50 quid return each from my neck of the woods, by train. Anyone have any deals (ala Crewe last season )they know of?

Some train deals would be handy for me also, considering doing one on the chuffer this year but looking a the trainline only Port Vale seems a decent option

As for Macc away, undeciced on whether to go, was originally going to do Cheltenham but decided i wasnt really up for that, been there before and we could well draw with their form, and our history there. Plus i've not been Macc and we tend to score our customary 4 there

Macc have made a fairly poor start but got a good win at Torquay yesterday and they're long overdue some points against us. I still think we'll win but we won't "score our customary 4" as you put it.

I'll be going with Mrs Wazza and hopeful of a nice early start so I can have a few beers.

Is that pub (The Railway?) still doing bacon butties, Macc Cobbler?

Always fancy us to do well up there. I'm going for a 3-1 win.

09:30 start for the CISC means a good lengthy pub stop in Congleton/Knutsford all being well :-)

Best way is London Midland only fare to Stoke from Castle Station £13.50 return, then rebook a return from Stoke to Macclefield £5.60.
Northampton dep 08.45
Stoke arrv 10.13
Stoke dep 10.25
Macc arrv 10.41 same times each hour

Return
Macc d 18.18
Stoke a 18.42

Stoke d 18.54
Northampton a 20.38

Quite cheap pretty easy.

Oxford.

Can do from MK via Stoke for around 34 quid...but with bus to MK..adding another 11....45 quid x 2 of us...just aint worth it!
Preferred Macc this time to Cheltenham...but Gloucs over Cheshire wins again!

LM fare to Stoke from MK £15.50 then the £5.60 Stoke to Macclesfield
Thats the best I could do.

Not sure about the bacon butties. Also we missed their beer festival which was last weekend.

Too many poor League 2 performances. One striker against Liverpool I understand but against League 2 sides it will not result in 2 or 3 goals a game ie promotion form.
Please Sammo be more positive and PLEASE get a centre forward not a ineffective right winger!
