I'm afraid that what might have been dismissed as management and tactical naivety and part of the learning process is rapidly looking more like ineptitude, especially when Sammo supposedly has the wise old head of Crosby next to him. I cannot for the life of me understand the signing of Parker, never mind his selection. What sort of message does this end to the likes of Rodgers, Herbert, Wedderburn and now McKenzie? I've always been vocal about supporting the selection of our own youngsters ahead of loanees, particularly when those loan players add nothng better to the squad. I also question yet again the selection of Gilligan and Osman; it leaves us too defensive and with no midfield creativity when we have Thornton in effect in the hole behind McKay. Jacobs can be just as effective down the right (he is after all naturally right footed), plus we had Hall on the nech who could have come in at left back to allow Davis to play further forward. The selection today smacked of tinkering. Never mind that Parker is cup tied and cannot play at Ipswich, which will inevitably mean more shuffling and tinkering
Bemused....
Yeah 100% agree regarding Parker, posted very much the same before i set my eyes on this thread. It's all very poor stuff, indeed.
