I'm afraid that is the conclusion I have reached about Leon McKenzie, I can't see that he has brought anything to the party at all. Some may say it's early days, but with his past strike record and experience you'd have expected more. In fact, to my eyes I've seen nothing at all. I know he missed pre-season and all that, but I have seen no evidence that he is about to go on a goal spree.
I sincerely hope I'm proved wrong, but I fear this signing will prove to be in the Alistair Slowe class.

Good to see the fans giving him ample time to prove himself. 2 starts. Brilliant.

Before he joined us, Mckenzie hadn't started a game of football in over a year. It's going to take a long time for him to reach anything like proper match fitness.
Some people have ridiculous expectations.

It's not Mckenzie's fault that Sammo was desperate/stupid enough to take a gamble on a player perenially struggling for fitness. If the signing was a mistake, then it's Sammo's mistake, not Mckenzie's. You can't blame him for jumping at the chance of a contract following his release from Charlton.
The player himself has downplayed expectations and said it will take a good few weeks before we see the best of him. Unfortunately, a lot of our fans demand an instant impact. Steve Riches wrote a column saying he thought Mckenzie would get 20 goals by the end of the season - ridiculous.

I think I will wait to see him play a bit more before forming an opinion.

Give him a break folks. All parties said he was lacking match fitness, so the more minutes he gets under his belt the closer he'll get to that 20+ goals.
