Not sure how the paying up of contracts works, maybe we pay 40%-60% of the remaining term (guess) but without this, we must have cut around £15k per week from the budget, which looking at the players gone (Blyth and Norris aside) must been seen as good business.
Even when we were winning under Aidy lots of the fans couldnt understand his infatuation with certain players (Platt and Demontegnac to name just two) so it seems from the outside looking in that Wilder is on the same page as the rest of us. Our starting 11 now looks pretty decent, assuming Asa Hall comes in then this team looks good enough to get the 30 points from 20 games (1.5points per game) to avoid the drop. Even the bench looks a bit stronger
