After the current piss poor run of results the end result could prove to be quite a dilema!! Win and we'll be going mental but what if/when we lose?! The players deserve a good round of applause for the awesome cup run but on the other hand the same group of players dont deserve one for the shocking position we are in the league!! WHAT DO WE DOOOOO!!!!?Huh?  Tongue

Do what you personally want to do and not feel the need to conform with the masses?

The applause is totally deserved; we can reserve the boos for the Gillingham match when Bayo scores the winner in the 98th minute.

Whatever happens they deserve whole hearted and total support, similar to Anfield and be cheered off the pitch for the fantastic Cup Run.

Then come Saturday, normal service......depends???

I think we have to treat our cup side as an entirely different team. They clearly do.

Or maybe players like Thornton, McKay and Davis are better suited to higher division football.

Is that why teams at that level let them go?  Undecided

IF you are good enough for higher levels then you should be good enough for the bottom rung of the ladder, end of.

It's all a question of consistency. If you perform to Championship standards in most games, then you stay a Championship player.

We know why Thornton was released, and it had nothing to do with ability. In Davis' case he was injury-prone. As for McKay, I don't know. Too lightweight?

We also know that neither Davis or Thornton would get into Coventry's starting eleven these days, and McKay wouldn't get close to a start for Leicester, because they're not good enough for that standard.

I think Davis is one of our rare jewels. He would have a place in a few championship sides. Having seen Leeds live a few weeks ago, he'd get in their side, comfortably.

Nah, there's a reason he stayed here in the summer, there's a reason he's playing football at this level. If you can't consistently do it at League Two level then you won't cut it in League One let alone the Championship. Also, Sanchez Watt is lightyears better.

He was hopeless when I saw them. Bradley Johnson was their one decent-looking player.

Still miles better than Davis. Hence, they're playing competitively in the Championship and Davis is struggling at the bottom of League Two with the rest of our shower.

I felt a bit conflicted at the final whistle as I remember the previous rounds in the cup and the Liverpool game especially will live long in the memory. I'm sure in 30 years time I will still be saying "I was there" however I'm still in shock at the complete lack of fight tonight and could barely bring myself to applaud.
