                                                                             Duke

     Alfie                          Diamond                                             Collins                             Horwood

    Hackett                     Ravenhill                                             Carter                             Mohammed

                                                                        JJ

                                                                 Marc Richards

Reckon we start the season with this formation. You need to play RR to win the ball and sheild the back four leaving the JJ and Carter further forward. I think Toney will be used as impact sub early on as we have to find a system to get the best out of JJ. You could argue Langers or Robertson instead of Collins but you have to remember Collins was made capt by CW and KL may well still be struggling.

I would be going with 3412 like we did towards back end of the season. JJOT in behind Toney and Richards!

Only problem then is with the wingers! Do we play them as full backs? Or do we go with Horwood/alfei?

We have so many systems available and CW likes to change it up be hard to second guess our team week to week.

I wouldn't be surprised if Snedker gets a chance to start.

I'm sure he will get a few opportunities in pre-season and he can't be too far behind Duke.

CW said at the forum last season that he would of liked to play Snedker in the last few games if we were already safe. Think he will feature in the cup games this season. Hes certainly bulked up a lot which was one of the concerns previously I think.

Hang on a minute........
We 're only weeks away from the start of the season and nobody has mentioned the dreaded " time to gel "
Are we really going to be so s*** hot that we dont need time to gel ?

That's the one thing I don't want to hear this season considering how early in the preseason this squad has been put together compared to other years and also other clubs. The squad is pretty much in place now so they can use the preseason games to "gel"!

Agree we shouldnt hearing the time to gel excuse. The thing is at this level most teams have a big squad turnover in the summer of around 7/8 players, so we should all be in the same boat.

Its just were fortunate enough CW has sorted us out early doors!

It's got a good core of players with a few others who aren't exactly young pros etc. They are all experienced pros who have been around and will all be fine. We have had some team binding already at Go Karting and Cricket already! They go to Scotland soon as well. There's plenty of time to gel but this will be shown in friendlies.

Im pretty happy with the squad we have. Can see Collins being used as holding midfielder like Tozer use to be, With the later being shipped out in January. If John Joe doesn't piss everyone off we could be looking at a very good season.

Like at your favoured line up, I assume It will be a battle between Collins Tozer Toney Sinclair Mohamad and Langmead for prefered places, the rest will be shoe ins.

Hearing the term "gel" is getting on my tits as much as scoucers, yanks and youngsters saying like all the time.

As lift tower says, I reckon CW has done a fantastic job in pin pointing who he wants, getting them in early and using the pre season for what it's meant for.

My only prediction/want is for CW to rotate Sinclair and Toney, maybe start with Sinclair, let him give all his got, then let Toney at them maybe as early as half time, this would preserve them both for a long season and allow them to give it all each game. All depends on form/injuries of course.

All your team predictions are starting to make me dribble a bit, keep it up. Shaping up very well isn't it?
